How is plastic surgery of face and neck – facelift performed?

The surgery is performed in combination of local anaesthesia and general intravenous anaesthesia. The surgical incision is lead from the hairy part of head around temple down around the earlobe and further into the line of earlobe.

Final scar is then visible only as inconspicuous line in case of smooth healing. The hospitalization takes one day and the patient goes home with bandaged head. Five days after the surgery the bandage is removed and the hair is washed. The sutures are removed 10-14 days after the surgery.

This procedure can be combined with liposuction of double chin, eyelid surgery, browlift = temple lift and lift of exterior corners of eyes, forehead lift.
